" I had the pleasure of visiting Stephen Paternite's home/museum in the domain of Devo. Over breakfast we traded road-kill stories and techniques. His involvement with an art show in Cincinnati in 1989 of dead animal imagery inspired me to do "Carcass" dead animal art show in San Francisco in 1993. His sense of humor prevails throughout the extensive works he has created. From freeze dried animals reconstructed with toy parts, to photos of road-kills surrounded by tires. His work spans farther than can be included in this issue alone. Additionally, Stephen's creations can be viewed in "Creature-Nites Of Ohio" available on video.
